Mattingly Concrete Inc. is a second generation concrete contractor headquartered in Indianapolis Indiana, with a branch in Cincinnati Ohio. The company's roots in central Indiana began almost 35 years ago from an aspiring college student who liked to work with their hands. The company is still family owned more than three decades later. Our focus is on supporting our clients concrete dreams and handling seamless construction projects in an industry that can sometimes lack professionalism. Approximately 70% of our workforce has ten or more years of experience and a long tenure at the company. Mattingly Concrete creates a culture that promotes career oriented employees with a focus on mastering their craft. Our mission is to alway be the leader and a mentor in our industry.

The Blue Collar Scholarship was officially established by founder Dan Mattingly in the early days at Mattingly Concrete Inc
The Opportunity:
This was created to help give a taste of the work force to young professionals. This scholarship is offered to individuals interested in gaining experience in the construction or concrete specific jobs. Scholarship recipients are placed with a representative of Mattingly Concrete for the summer to begin learning the trade and collecting real world experience and an opportunity to start their career ahead of the pack in an already high demand trade.

This scholarship can help you gain the experience you may be seeking alongside a seasoned company in a fun environment. Awarded Benefits:
Benefits vary based on enrollment timeframe and overall scope of work. This scholarship is geared towards providing monetary assistance for books or living once a student returns/heads to school. A minimum of $500 is awarded to the Blue Collar Scholars as an end of summer scholarship toward books or general living expenses for their fall semester.
Requirements
Must be motivated
Must be current resident of Indiana or Ohio
Must be 16 years of age or older
Must be Highschool Graduate or College Attendee
Must have Drivers License and transportation to work
Must be able to lift 60+ lbs.
